School closings, other Bay area cancellations

St. Petersburg/Clearwater airport's terminal building will be closed during the Level A evacuation period, which begins Tuesday at 6 a.m.

Public school closings

Polk County public schools will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Hillsborough County public schools are closed Tuesday.

Hernando County public schools are closed Tuesday.

Pinellas County public schools are closed Tuesday.

Sarasota County public schools are closed Tuesday.

Manatee County public schools are closed Tuesday.

Pasco County public schools are closed Tuesday.

Citrus County public schools have a half-day Tuesday. Middle and High schools students leave at 12:20pm. Elementary schools close at 1:30pm. After-school care programs will continue.

Other School Closings

Pinellas County

Eckerd CollegeClosed as of 1:00 p.m. Monday. Program for experiences learners classes scheduled for Monday and Tuesday canceled.

Northside Christian School in St. Petersburg closed Tuesday. This includes classes and all activities.

Stetson University College of Law canceled Tuesday.

Oldsmar Christian School closed Tuesday.

Ultimate Medical Academy (Pinellas) has no night school Monday night and no day or night classes Tuesday at the Pinellas and Hillsborough campuses.

Webster University's Lakeland, Sarasota and St. Petersburg classes are canceled for Monday evening. All Tampa Bay campuses will remain closed through Tuesday.

St. Petersburg Catholic High School is closed Tuesday.

Little Lambs Christian Preschool in Seminole is closed Tuesday.

Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf in Clearwater is closed Tuesday.

Shorecrest Preparatory School in St. Pete closed Tuesday.

Keswick Christian School in St. Pete closed Tuesday.

Wellington School closed Tuesday.

St. Raphael Catholic School in St. Pete closed Tuesday.

USF St. Pete campus closed Tuesday.

St. Petersburg Christian School closed Tuesday.

Central Florida Institute - Palm Harbor campus - closed Monday.

Central Florida College closed Tuesday.

Montessori Academy of Temple Terrace is closed Tuesday.

Montessori Academy of Tampa Bay is closed Tuesday.

Montessori Academy of New Tampa is closed Tuesday.

Montessori Academy of Carrollwood is closed Tuesday.

University of South Florida orientation for Tuesday is rescheduled for Friday, August 22nd at the Sun Dome Corral with check in at 8:00 a.m. Attendance is required.

International Academy of Design & Technology closed Tuesday.

The Art Institute of Tampa, South University and Agosy University closed Tuesday. Administrative offices are open.

Saint Leo University's MacDill Center classes Monday evening cancelled and Tuesday all day are cancelled.

Faith Outreach Academy - closed until Thursday.

Paul Mitchell - The School closed until Thursday.

The Montessori House Day School closed Tuesday.

Cambridge Christian School closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Congregation Rodeph Sholom's preschool closed Tuesday.

Pozee Playzle Preschool closed Tuesday.

Tampa YMCA Success Afterschool Program closed Tuesday. This includes those at public elementary schools, Camp Cristina, Northwest Hillsborough YMCA, Bob Sierra YMCA and the Bob Gilbertson/Central City YMCA.

Tampa Preparatory School campus will be closed Monday, August 18th at noon and remain closed Tuesday and Wednesday, August 19 and 20, 2008.
