TAMPA (Bay News 9) -- Two men died Friday night in an accident on the Crosstown Expressway in Tampa.
According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, 22-year-old Keith Scragg was driving on the Crosstown Expressway at a "high rate of speed" and weaving in and out of traffic, when he lost control of his car. Authorities said the car first collided with a roadway sign and then with the metal guardrail.
Scragg, who authorities say was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the car. He died at the scene.
Scragg's passenger, 26-year-old Louis Hall, also died at the scene. Authorities say, unlike Scragg, Hall was wearing a seatbelt.
