St. Petersburg mayor-elect makes first appointment
PINELLAS COUNTY (Bay News 9) -- St. Petersburg Mayor-Elect Bill Foster announced his administration's first appointment Monday, naming Tish Elston as city administrator.
Elston currently works in Mayor Rick Baker's administration as first deputy mayor/city administrator. So, she will continue to oversee city operations while also acting as transition chair.
"I look forward to working with Mayor Elect Foster," said Elston. "His knowledge of the issues and relationships with the community will significantly ease the shift to a new administration."
Foster was elected last Tuesday, beating Kathleen Ford with 53 percent of the vote.
