Halloween candy buy back events happening this week. Trade in a pound of candy, get back a dollar.
BAY NEWS 9 -- There's something you can do with your extra Halloween candy, and you might get paid for it.

Most parents would not be in favor of their children pigging out all week on the sweets. Some parents might not even appreciate the sugar highs associated with eating all of the extra candy.

Dental professionals might have an even bigger concern for the health of many of their younger patients and wouldn't like the idea of a week-long candy binge.

Halloween candy buy back

It's enough for the teeth doctors to try to buy back Halloween...candy that is.

According to the website Halloween candy buy back.com, for every pound of candy you bring in, participating dentists will give you back a dollar.

On their website, you can find Bay area dentists by simply putting in your zip code.

It will then give the nearest office to make a trade.

There are at least 10 dentists in our area that are participating. And it's not just dentists, other teeth specialists are joining in the fun.

There are also orthodontists that are buying back candy.

Most importantly, all the candy collected will then be shipped overseas to brighten up the smiles of our military forces and other children around the world.

Who's participating?
