Russell Jones is one of the alleged gunmen in the Thanksgiving Day invasion.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY (Bay News 9) -- Two men are arrested after investigators say they broke into a home on Thanksgiving Day and held the residents at gunpoint.

Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies said that Russell Watson Jones, 26, and Cedrick Jenkins entered the home in the 12700 block of Palmer Circle in Tampa shortly before 9 p.m.

According to reports, the men tried to get money from the residents, but were unsuccessful.

Authorities say the residents asked to leave, but were not allowed.

After about ten minutes, officials say the gunmen left, but there was a deputy waiting for them outside.

One of the suspects reportedly dropped his gun on the ground, and both men were detained.
