TAMPA (Bay News 9) -- A restaurant in Tampa was damaged by fire Saturday afternoon.
According to Tampa Fire Rescue, Pollos Pucalor, which is located at 7212 N. Armenia Ave., caught fire just after 2 p.m.
Fire crews arrived on scene in minutes and reported heavy smoke coming from the building.
It took crews about 45 minutes to bring the flames under control.
All restaurant workers and customers exited the building safely. No injuries were reported.
An investigator with the Tampa fire marshal's office says the fire started in the hood system of a rotisserie cooker. The grease fire spread quickly into the attic.
The fire caused at least $175,000 in damages, and the restaurant will be closed until repairs are made.
