CLEARWATER (Bay News 9) -- A 7-year-old boy was pinned between a light pole and a vehicle Saturday night after being ejected from a sport utility vehicle during a crash, authorities say.
According to authorities, a Ford Explorer was eastbound on Cleveland Street when it ran a red light at Belcher and hit a pick-up truck that was headed south on Belcher.
The boy was riding in the cargo area of the Explorer and was not restrained. After being ejected, he was pinned between the pole and a third vehicle that the pickup hit.
The boy was airlifted to an area hospital. He has life-threatening injuries.
