Investigators surround the crime scene overnight. (SLIDESHOW)

PINELLAS COUNTY (Bay News 9) -- An argument between roommates turned deadly in a Gulfport home.

The Gulfport Police Department says 67-year-old Riley Bryan shot his roommate Saturday night at around 9 p.m. in their residence on the 2600 block of 49th Street South.

When officers arrived to the scene, they found the body of 52-year-old Donald Price, who had reportedly been shot in the head.

Neighbor Richard Cowdery lives in a trailer in the back of the home where the shooting occurred. He says he felt the same terror he saw in his friend Sue Vinson, Price's wife.

"I was shocked and frightened and trying to protect Sue," said Cowdery. "We really did believe that he was probably going to come out to the trailer."

Vinson says she was running for her life from Bryan. Bryan's brother, Carter, was there and says his brother was taking medication for mental issues.

"I think they're anti-psychotic drugs too," Carter Bryan said. "They didn't seem to work this time."

Carter Bryan says his brother was angry about a visitor to his roommate's apartment that's attached to the house.

He also said Riley Bryan did get into an argument with Price, who was living there with Vinson.

According to Carter Bryan, the argument ended when Riley grabbed a .380-caliber handgun and shot Price in the head.

"Execution style," Vinson said. "He was begging for his life."

"I just glanced at him once and that was enough to give me a heads up to stay down," Carter Bryan said.

Police say Riley Bryan then called 911 and identified himself as the shooter.

According to reports, he has been arrested and charged with first-degree homicide and faces three counts of aggravated assault.
