Iconic restaurant in downtown St. Pete to remain open

PINELLAS COUNTY (Bay News 9) -- The Garden in St. Petersburg will not be closed after all.

Last week, Bay News 9 reported that the downtown St. Petersburg restaurant was going to close because of re-modeling at Jannus Landing. However, according to Bay News 9's partner paper, the St. Petersburg Times, the Garden will instead change ownership.

The new owners will keep the restaurant open. They said they plan to put money into the restaurant and update the lighting and the bathrooms.
