Woman attacked and beaten in park

This is where police say the victim was found.

PINELLAS COUNTY (Bay News 9) -- St. Petersburg police say they are looking for someone who beat up a woman in Coquina Key park.

According to reports, she was beaten and left in the mangroves on Saturday -- but found around 7 a.m.

Investigators say the victim was treated at Bayfront Hospital for multiple injuries, and that they are considering the case an attempted homicide.

Anyone with information about the attack was asked to call St. Petersburg police at 727-893-4693.
