PASCO COUNTY (Bay News 9) -- If you are deaf or hard of hearing, there is a program out there you may not know about.
The program is paid for through a state surcharge but is available through Deaf & Hard of Hearing Services of Florida for any family needing the assistance.
The non-profit has many different types of phones available, which during hurricane season or any emergency, are invaluable.
The phones are available to any one three years of age or older.
If you are unsure about your own hearing level or your child's, you can get a free hearing test at the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services office in New Port Richey.
