PINELLAS COUNTY (Bay News 9) -- A woman who drove into a retention pond Thursday afternoon was rescued by a Good Samaritan, officials said.
According to reports, the woman accidentally drove into the retention pond off Lake Avenue in Clearwater.
A person was passing by at the time, and stopped to help the woman get out of her car. She was able to escape without injury.
Her car was not so lucky, however. It was recovered with the help of the dive team.
The identity of the Good Samaritan is not known. The person left the scene before emergency crews arrived.
