POLK COUNTY (Bay News 9) -- Police have caught one suspect and are looking for another in a home invasion that occurred Wednesday.
Police say two suspects entered the Lakeland home of Alexander Harris and shot him, leaving the scene in an orange Dodge Magnum.
The vehicle was later spotted by officers at 1919 W. 10th St. Police say the suspects fled on foot into a wooded area where one suspect, Joseph Reed, 19, was apprehended by officers.
The other suspect remains at large.
Reed was charged with aggravated battery with a firearm, armed burglary with assault, burglary of conveyance, motor vehicle theft and other charges.
The victim, Harris, was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center and treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the thigh.
