Bucs, TSA reach accord

The cost of extra security and patdowns will be split between the Bucs and the Tampa Sports Authority.
A deal has finally been reached after a long fight between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tampa Sports Authority (TSA).

The Bucs signed an agreement with the TSA Monday.

The deal calls for the two to split the costs created by NFL-mandated extra security and patdown measures. The TSA planned to sue the Bucs in January about past security costs. The authority argued the Bucs were required to pay for extra post-Sept. 11 security, but the team maintained the TSA was required to cover all security expenses.

Now, both sides are agreeing to split the expenses 50-50.
