TAMPA (AP) - Stanford knocked off number-one-seed Connecticut 82-73 and will play Tennessee in Tuesday night's finals of the NCAA women's basketball tournament.
Candice Wiggins led the Cardinal with 25 points.
It's the first time all season any team has scored as many as 80 points against Connecticut.
And it's just the second loss of the season for the Huskies. Stanford led for most of the game and improved its record to 35-and-3.
In the second game, defending national champion Tennessee nipped LSU 47-46 with some last-second heroics. Alexis Hornbuckle scored her only basket on a tip-in with seven-tenths of a second left.
Candace Parker led the Lady Vols with 13 points and 15 rebounds in the lowest-scoring Final Four game ever. It's the fifth straight year LSU has gotten to the Final Four without making the final.
Tennessee is gunning for its eighth straight national championship. The championship game is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.
