Roxanne WilderRoxanne Wilder began freelancing at Bright House Sports Network and Bay News 9 in the Fall of 2003.

Roxanne took an unconventional path into television. She was a senior auditor for Arthur Andersen LLP for three-and-a-half years. One of her main clients was a broadcasting company, so she traveled the country visiting and auditing television stations. In 2002, she decided to change careers and pursue her long-time dream of being a sports reporter. She began an internship at Fox 13 in Tampa. Then she worked behind the scenes at WWSB Channel 40 in Sarasota. She got her first opportunity to be on air with Catch 47 doing the Pewter Report with Todd Kalas and Leo Haggerty.

Roxanne developed her passion for sports while growing up in the Bay area attending Tampa Bay Buccaneer games with her family. She graduated from the University of South Florida, but has ties to other Florida colleges. She also attended University of Florida, and her sister, Angela Roberson, trained FSU's mascot horse, Renegade.

Roxanne's favorite television show was always Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel on HBO, so she was extremely excited when she was made part of Bay Sports, as the show is modeled after Real Sports but with a local viewpoint. One of Roxanne's favorite parts of her job is meeting and interviewing people with great stories to tell. Some of her favorite interviews have been with Doug Williams, Tommy John, and the high school football players at Robinson High. The person that she has interviewed that she admires the most is Dottie Lessard-Oconnor, who has overcome cystic fibrosis and lung and kidney transplants and still competes in her sport.

Roxanne reports for the Beef 'O' Brady's High School Scoreboard and Xtra Point. She is thrilled to be a part of Bright House Sports Network and enjoys the dynamic people she works with.
