Polk County's main airport could soon feel the effects of the sequestration budget cuts.
The air traffic control tower at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport might be forced to close.
The decision by the Federal Aviation Administration is expected some time Friday.
If that tower is closed, it could have an impact on the upcoming Sun 'n Fun Fly-in. Organizers would have to shell out money for contracted control operators.
