Here's your Tampa area weather forecast for late Tuesday into Wednesday morning, along with a look at conditions through the holiday weekend.

  • Foggy start
  • Wet Thanksgiving
  • Weekend cold front

Right on cue the moisture moved in today, resulting in mostly cloudy skies and passing showers.

Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy into early Wednesday morning. Watch out for areas of thick morning fog as it will reduce visibilities in many areas.

Morning lows will be mild in the 60s for most spots, but some upper 50s in Citrus and Hernando counties.

Wednesday will start out cloudy and foggy, but then go partly sunny. High temperatures will be warmer as a result, getting to around 80 in the afternoon. There will be a few scattered showers in the area, but the coverage will be down to about 30 percent.

Wednesday night will be partly to mostly cloudy with a few isolated showers. Lows will be in the 60s.

The wettest part of the week appears to be Thanksgiving Day and Friday. There will be multiple rounds of rain that move in from the gulf, with some heavy bands of rain setting up in some spots. Some thunderstorms are possible.

The rainy conditions will keep the highs in the mid to upper 70s.

The low pressure moving across the gulf will be moving so slowly that it will still be hanging around even on Friday. Highs will again be in the mid to upper 70s under mostly cloudy skies.

A front is on the way this weekend that will finally push the low pressure to the east and dry us out.
