Tampa Police are searching for an armed suspect wanted in connection with three hotel robberies.

  • Robberies occurred Nov. 20, Dec. 11, and Dec. 12
  • Suspect seen carrying NY Yankees backpack
  • No injuries, no indication yet how much money stolen

The first robbery occurred on Nov. 20 at the Days Inn location at 2905 North 50th Street about 4:30 a.m.

Police said a man walked in wearing a hoodie to cover his face. He pointed a gun at the front desk clerk and demanded money. He then took off on foot.

On Dec. 11, police said a suspect who appears to be the same man robbed the Quality Inn located at 2708 North 50th Street at 3:13 a.m.

The latest incident occurred on Dec. 12 at 3:53 p.m.. Police said an armed man entered the West Wing Hotel at 2501 East Fowler Avenue, and robbed the clerk there.

In all three cases, the suspect was carrying a New York Yankees backpack.

No one was injured and police aren't saying how much money the man got away with.
