Friends and family continue to honor the life of Tricia Freeman who was murdered in her Palmetto home last week.

About of dozen of Tricia Freeman’s friends and co-workers stood in front of her home Tuesday night, sharing happy memories about her life.

Those close to her say they want justice, but also want to focus on the wonderful life she lived.

“Anyone who can take on as many little puppies and dogs as she did and love them truly, that’s a person that has true love and compassion. And for somebody to end that, it’s not fair,” said a close friend.

Freeman was reported missing last week after she didn’t show up for work.

Days later, investigators named her daughter’s boyfriend as the suspect who killed her, and her daughter as an accessory to her murder.

Roy Nichols and Kayla Coyler were caught and arrested in West Virginia on Saturday.

They were extradited back to Manatee County on Monday.

As for Freeman’s 17 dogs, they have all been placed in new homes.
