A large fire in Palmetto Friday morning is being investigated as a possible arson.

According to the Bradenton Herald, the fire broke out just after 7 a.m. in an auto dealer storage facility at 405 Eighth Ave. West.
The fire created a huge cloud of black smoke seen across the area. There were no injuries and the fire was extinguished after about an hour. The fire gutted the facility and destroyed a boat and trailer, according to the Herald.

A fire inspector called to the scene is investigating the fire as a possible arson.
