Children throughout the Tampa Bay area collaborated with non-profit organization Community Stepping Stones (CSS) of Sulphur Springs.

Over 100 young artists from schools and organizations including Oak Grove Elementary School, Community Stepping Stones' Sulphur Springs Campus, Metropolitan Ministries, Tampa Housing Authority and Hispanic Services Council were involved in creating the artwork.

"We try to make it relevant to what's happening today, and Tampa Bay, as we know, is having transportation challenges," CSS Executive Director Belinda Cook said. "So when we were talking last September, it was the beginning of the ferry and TBX and we thought, 'You know it will be a good thing, it will be relevant to today’s topics.'"

The students used items found around the house as well as ones they fished out of the trash to construct things like space shuttles, Viking ships and creative cars. Through the curriculum, they learned that transportation can influence how we eat, what we wear and where we live.
