  • Exhibit to teach kids about math, science, technology in fun way
  • Exhibit runs from May 27 - July 9

The 5,000 square foot experience, sponsored by the company Raytheon, is the largest traveling exhibit ever to be brought to the Glazer Children’s Museum.

Former NASA astronaut and Raytheon Vice President Robert Curbeam helped bring the exhibit to the Bay Area.

“Science, technology, engineering, math is fun. It is already part of their life and they’re doing it without even knowing it,” Curbeam said.

The exhibits look more like video games. Creators have taken things like skateboarding and snowboarding and are teaching kids about math.

Through different types of music, simulators, robotics, even a 360 fashion camera, MathAlive! Is designed to spark imaginations and reveal endless possibilities.

Museum President and CEO Jennifer Stancil said she hopes the exhibit will inspire futures.

“This is that exhibit that says you can be an astronaut, rocket scientist, musician or design video games and this career is for you. I hope kids take away that math is for them. It’s a radical thing that they should be studying and taking into their careers,” Stancil said.

MathAlive! will be at the Glazer Children’s Museum from May 27 - July 9.
