Howl-O-Scream, the Halloween-themed event, returns to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay for 19 “menacing” nights.

  • How-O-Scream: Sept. 22-Oct. 29
  • Two new haunted revealed: Demented Dimensions, Undead Arena
  • Facebook fans will get to name a scare zone

Two new haunted houses—as well as three new scare zones—join this year’s event.

Demented Dimensions

  • Inside an abandoned manor guests will encounter a series of portals that lead to a different, demented world.

Undead Arena

  • Set in a post-apocalyptic world, survivors known as The Unworthy are thrown into a gauntlet for the amusement of The Worthy.

So far, six haunted houses have been revealed, which one more expected in the coming weeks. They include Zombie Containment Unit 15, Death Water Bayou, Unearthed and Motel Hell.

The three new scare zones include:

Carnie Camp

  • In this scare zone, creepy fairground performers prowl for new subjects to be featured in attraction.

Meat Market

  • Cannibals armed with chainsaws feast on the fearful and weak.

Name Scare Zone

  • Facebook followers will decide the name of this scare zone set in an abandoned schoolhouse. Choices included “School’s Out,” “Class Deceased,” and “Final Hell.” Voting takes place now through Aug. 30 on the Howl-O-Scream Facebook page. Results will be announced on Aug. 31.

Previously announced scare zones include Wasteland and Playground.

In addition to the haunted houses and scare zones, several thrill rides will be open for guests to enjoy throughout the night, including Cobra's Curse, Cheetah Hunt, Falcon's Fury and SheiKra.

The after-hours event also features a live dance party at Stanleyville Theater, the Fiends Show.

Howl-O-Scream runs select nights Sept. 22 through Oct. 29.
