Leaders and business owners in Hernando and Citrus counties are working hard to fix all issued they’ve seen from Hurricane Irma.

Hernando County is starting to look more and more like normal. Grocery store parking lots are filled, more street lights are back on, and gas stations are starting to open although lines at most stretched into the streets.

But water is a big issue for the eastern part of the county. Royal Oaks, Weeki Wachee West of 19, Brooksville, and all areas east of U.S. 41 (Excluding  Cedar Lane and Dogwood Estates) are under a Boil water notice. And some still don't have water.

That's the case for Little Lady cafe in downtown Brooksville. The owner said they hope to open Thursday but have to stay closed until the boil water notice is lifted.

"We can't open if we have to boil because I can't run coffee I can't run soda. I'd have to boil everything even to wash dishes and that wouldn't work out it would be so time consuming," café owner Rory Steele said.

While water is one of the biggest issues in Hernando County, in Citrus County it's power."

Citrus County leaders say about 2/3 of the county was without power Tuesday. Coach's Pub and Eatery in Inverness got its power on early this afternoon and the people there were hard at work to get the restaurant open again as soon as possible.

But, many of the employees still don't have power in their own homes.

"I know obviously all the power companies are working hard to get it back on. They did a good job downtown so we'll just wait and see," Kyle Everett, who is helping is family out at Coach’s, said.

Kyle lives in Key Largo and stayed with his family in Inverness throughout the storm, while helping out with the family business there.

He plans to head back to the island sometime this week.

"We've got a business down there also so we're worried about that business also but just one thing at a time so we'll manage up here and we're get to that later," Kyle said.

Communities working hard to make sure things are normal again soon.

Hernando County also has several residents without power. County leaders say there are representatives from the main power company in the area at the EOC ensuring all power is restored as quickly as possible.
