A Lecanto man was arrested Tuesday after deputies said he tried to rob a restaurant where he used to work.

Rodney Daniels, Jr., 20, is accused of attempting to rob Charlie's Fish House in Crystal River with a knife. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Employees said the suspect, wearing a mask and holding a fixed blade knife, demanded money. The suspect, Daniels, was carrying a plastic grocery bag and ordered an employee to fill it with money, officials said.
The employee refused and the suspect ran. Deputies along with their K9 unit located Daniels a short time later on Citrus Avenue in Crystal River.
Daniels was arrested and charged with robbery with a firearm and is being held on a $50,000 bond.
