Fire officials in Tampa are investigating after a man was killed in a mobile home fire.

It happened at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of E. Linebaugh Avenue in North Tampa.

Tampa Fire Rescue said heavy flames were coming from the single-wide home when they arrived.

A neighbor on scene broke a window in an attempt to rescue the occupant but was unsuccessful in saving him. The neighbor was treated for minor injuries.

Rescue officials said the victim was in his 60s. His name hasn't been released.

An Arson Task Force has been called to investigate, which is standard protocol in a fire-related death.

Authorities don't believe the fire is suspicious.
