A 56-year-old man was killed early Friday in a two-vehicle Largo crash.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 3 a.m. on Ulmerton Road just before Wild Acres Road.
Troopers said both vehicles were traveling westbound on Ulmerton when the driver of a 2009 Acura TL, who was speeding, struck the back of a 2015 Kia Forte.
The Kia went off the roadway and struck a light pole. The driver of the Kia, whose name has not been released, died at the scene.
The 34-year-old driver of the Acura was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg in serious condition.
The crash, which shut down the westbound lanes of Ulmerton for several hours Friday morning, remains under investigation. .
