The man who allegedly shot at George Zimmerman is now formally charged with attempted murder.

Matthew Apperson was charged with attempted second-degree murder, the state attorney's office announced Thursday.

Apperson is accused of firing at Zimmerman while he was driving his truck along Lake Mary Boulevard last month.

The bullet went through the truck window, narrowly missing Zimmerman's head.

Apperson is the same man who claimed Zimmerman threatened to kill him in September 2014 during a road confrontation. No charges were filed then.
