From the way imagineers and Lucasfilm creative executives were speaking Saturday at Star Wars Celebrations Disney parks panel, Star Wars will go Westworld.

In the HBO TV show, visitors go on any number of adventures in a Wild West setting.

Disney's version at Disneyland in California and Disney's Hollywood Studios in Florida will obviously be more family friendly and, you know, about Star Wars.

"What I love about the park is you will live it," said Douglas Chiang, creative executive at Lucasfilm.

We already knew that the new Star Wars land would be an unprecedented park undertaking: Over 14 acres in each park. We also already knew we would be immersive, with characters and places you can interact with.

But the panelists said this would be closer to a "Choose Your Own Adventure" story: You might help the resistance or the first order, or maybe you do something with a bounty hunter.

The planet is new to us, but perhaps not to Star Wars. Lucasfilm executive Pablo Hidalgo says it's off the beaten path, but it's been there for thousands of years and it's on the "map."

We knew the Millennium Falcon will be part of the area, with a chance to ride in the iconic ship. But imagineers say guests will actually be the pilot with a film crew, with different possible stories, similar to Star Tours, but the crucial difference being YOU pilot the ship.

You can even crash the Falcon if you want to. But at you own peril. Imagineers say you actually have the chance to build a reputation inside Star Wars.

Of course if you want to just hang around the cantina with a glass of blue milk, that's possible too.

It will give you a chance to meet favorite characters and interact with all new ones.

Chiang and the imagineers also said the land will definitely have the look of Star Wars -- imagineers pulled out artist Ralph McQuarrie's original designs to give the area a little of that DNA.

The Star Wars lands are set to open in 2019.

Star Tours to get Episode 8 update

Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) also took part in a retrospective on Star Tours, the "Star Wars"-inspired attraction at several Disney Parks.

We learned the evolution of the original character, Rex, voiced by actor Paul Reubens, and how Daniels came to be part of the attraction.

We also learned that Crait, the mining planet seen during a battle sequence in the "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" trailer, will be added to Star Tours in the future as a planet guests can visit. No word on when that will happen.
