The North Carolina Tar Heels won its sixth national title against the Gonzaga Bulldogs at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., Monday night.

For the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, this was a game of redemption after the Tar Heels lost in the NCAA championship at the buzzer a year ago. This time they sealed the victory 71 to 65.

Of course, coach Roy Williams got soaked with the water bottles in the locker room. This is his third NCAA title. He is one of only six coaches to achieve that honor.

On Tuesday, the team will fly back home to North Carolina and they will be greeted by fans and fellow students with a public party at the Dean Dome starting at 5 p.m.
