If you're looking for a high-energy and even "electric" way to spend your night, SeaWorld is rocking a new nightly experience.

"We are loosely basing it on an [Electronic Dance Music] festival," said entertainment manager, Muffett Baker. "So it's a family-friendly EDM festival."

Dancers sporting fluorescent costumes, larger than life puppets, a continuous DJ, a fireworks and fountains show - that's just part of the nightly "Electric Ocean" experience.

Hours before showtime Tuesday, SeaWorld had given us exclusive access to some of their performers, like Mary Reichel. She's a poi ball expert - an art form that originated in New Zealand.

"The way we do this is we pretend we're a car," Reichel demoed, twirling her glowing poi balls attached to her fingers. "I know, it sounds kinda silly, but we pretend we're a car and these are the wheels of a car and that will make your brain keep them straight."

Guests will also meet several puppets during Club Sea Glo, the event that takes place at Bayside Stadium. Kendall Casey introduces us to this sea turtle, with a foam-like shell.

"And there are springs in his fins," she pointed out. "So they have a lot of mobility."

The showstopper is the (huge!) yellow Evelyn the Eel puppet.

"Evelyn is a little bit heavier and she's a little bit longer, so you have more space to be aware of," Casey said. Due to its weight, Evelyn is flown for only about 10 minutes at a time so that Casey can shake out her arms.

During Electric Ocean, SeaWorld also has introduced new foods, presented in food & wine fest-style kiosks.

The nighttime show is included with park admission. "Ignite" -- the fireworks and fountains show -- starts at 10 p.m.
