It was the moment many Disney fans had been waiting for: Disney announced plans for its theme parks. And big, big changes are coming for Epcot.

For several months, rumors swirled about what new attractions the company would add to its Disney World park. Everything from a “Guardians of the Galaxy” ride replacing Ellen’s Energy Adventure to a new country in the World Showcase made the rounds.

Well, everyone can put the rumors to rest, for now, because Epcot is getting a “Guardians of the Galaxy’ ride and much, much more.

The E-ticket attraction will give guests a chance to interact with a "rag-tag team of misfits." The storyline goes that Peter Quill visited Epcot when he was a kid. The new Guardians ride will replace Ellen’s Energy Adventure, which closes Aug. 13.

Disney is adding another attraction to Epcot: Ratatouille. Yes, guests visiting the France pavilion in the World Showcase will get to go on an adventure with Remy. In the ride, guests will "shrink" down to the size of Remy on a chase through a gigantic kitchen.

The Guardians of the Galaxy ride and Ratatouille are slated to open in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary in 2021.

In addition to the new attraction, Epcot will also get a new restaurant. The new dining option will give guests an "out-of-this world" experience with views of "space." The restaurant will open adjacent to Mission: Space. Pantina Restaurant Group will operate the restaurant. The company also operates Tutto Italia and Via Napoli at Epcot and Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs.

Disney has not yet announced the name of the restaurant. More details will be released at a later date.
