SpaceX scrubbed a Falcon 9 rocket attempt from Kennedy Space Center on Sunday due to technical issues.

  • Sunday's launch attempt scrubbed
  • Countdown clock halted at T-minus 10 seconds
  • Next attempt Monday, July 3 at 7:37 p.m.

The rocket was set to lift off at 7:36 p.m. However, the countdown halted at T-minus 10 seconds due to an automatic abort. The clock was recycled to T-minus 15 minutes, but a scrub was declared a short time later.

SpaceX has not said what caused the abort.

The next launch attempt is scheduled for Monday, July 3 at 7:37 p.m.

When the Falcon 9 rocket does launch, it will carry an Intelsat 35e communications satellite into orbit.

The satellite, which weighs over 13,000 pounds, will provide services to the Caribbean, Europe and Africa. Due to the heavy payload, SpaceX is not attempting to land the Falcon 9’s first stage.
