  • MasterChef Shaun O'Neale to appear at Disney World
  • Cooking demonstration during Epcot Food & Wine
  • O'Neale won season 7 of the cooking competition

The former Tampa resident, 35, will make an appearance at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival for a cooking demonstration.

During the festival’s “What’s Cookin' with…” workshop on Sept. 3, O’Neale will show festivalgoers how to make lobster ravioli as he shares stories. He’ll also sign copies of his new book, “My Modern American Table: Recipes for Inspired Home Cooks.”

Other chefs slated to appear during the festival workshop series include Art Smith, pastry chef Buddy Valastro and Cat Cora. Smith has a restaurant in Disney Springs, Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’.

Before winning “Master Chef,” O’Neale worked as a DJ for nearly 20 years, performing in nightclubs in South Florida and Las Vegas.  However, he always had a passion for all things food. After spending years developing his culinary skills, he decided to try out for the competition which pits cooks against each other. Celebrity judges include Gordon Ramsey and Christina Tosi.

O’Neale quickly began to dominate the competition, winning several challenges. His success led to a book deal, a trophy and a $250,000 grand prize.

The “What’s Cookin' with…” workshops will be held on select Fridays and Sundays during the festival’s run. The cost is $129, plus regular admission to Epcot.

The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival runs Aug. 31 through Nov. 13.
