Director Eli Roth is directing a new 30-second commercial for Universal Studios’ upcoming Halloween Horror Nights.

Roth previously collaborated with Universal, working as a consultant for a maze inspired by “Hostel,” a movie he directed.

The "Mourning After" spot follows a group of friends who attend a Halloween costume party as a series of “suspenseful twists and turns” unfold.

Several references will be hidden throughout the spot, paying tribute to the horror films and TV-inspired mazes featured at this year's event.

“For this spot, I wanted to pay homage to these brilliant and scary films, and yet put my own spin on it," Roth said in a statement.

The commercial will begin airing after Labor Day, Universal said in a press release.

HHN includes haunted mazes, scare zones and shows.

So far, four mazes have been announced for this year’s event: “American Horror Story,” “The Shining,” “Ash vs Evil Dead” and “Saw: The Games of Jigsaw.”

Halloween Horror Nights runs select nights Sept. 15 through Nov. 4.
