The “Guardians of the Galaxy” roller coaster coming to Epcot will be one of the longest enclosed coasters in the world, Disney Parks chairman Bob Chapek announced at the D23 Expo in Japan.

The ride will also feature a new innovative ride system that, according to Disney, will “wow” guests.

It will be the first Marvel superhero-based ride at Walt Disney World.

The “Guardians of the Galaxy” coaster will be located in the theme park’s Future World. It replaces Ellen’s Energy Adventure, which closed last summer.

Epcot is set to undergo a major overhaul that will completely transform the park.

The plans were first revealed at Disney’s D23 Expo in July.

The park is also set to get a Ratatouille ride at the France pavilion in the World Showcase and a “space” themed restaurant.

“As we build upon its core mission of optimism  and hope to inspire the world, the real will become fantastic and the fantastic will become real—in whole new ways at Epcot,” Chapek said.

An official opening date has not been announced for the “Guardians of the Galaxy” attraction. However, it’s expected to open in time for Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration in 2021.
