November seems a bit soon for a Christmas tree wonderland, but for the Orlando Museum of Art, it's the most wonderful time of the year.

  • Festival of Trees opens this weekend at Orlando Museum of Art
  • Annual festival fundraiser for the museum, in its 31st year

Festival of Trees returns for its 31st year this weekend at the art museum in Loch Haven Park, and runs through Nov. 19.

The glittering holiday event features dozens of Christmas trees of all sizes, plus wreaths, tabletop displays, a gingerbread village and other magnificent Christmas decor.

All of the pieces are designed and sponsored by Orlando's top designers and members of the Council of 101, the museum's fundraising group.

Part of the reason the event is so early is many of the pieces are available for purchase, with the proceeds going to fund OMA. So it's a chance to bring home a unique piece to use in your own holiday decorating.

The Festival of Trees also has musical performances, workshops for children and special events, including a Reindeer Romp Children's Party Nov. 15, and an Ugly Sweater Date Night on Nov. 17.

Tickets to Festival of Trees:

  • $15 for adults
  • $10:
    • Seniors over 65
    • Military personnel and first responders
    • Museum members
  • $5 for children
You can purchase tickets and find event information at the Orlando Museum of Art website.
