About as iconic as the orange Whataburger "W," Buc-ee's red-capped beaver has become synonymous with Texas.
- Buc-ee's is Texas-based chain of mega convenience stores
- 1st Buc-ee's store outside of Texas coming to Daytona Beach
- Stores are known for having 80-120 gas pumps
For the first time, residents outside the Lone Star State will be able to fill up on gas and stock up on the Texas-based mega-gas station chain's Beaver Nuggets, homemade kolaches and beef jerky.
The chain is also known for the number of gas pumps at each store. Buc-ee's stores typically have 80 to 120 fueling pumps, no 18-wheelers allowed.
The company announced last week that it's opening a store in Daytona Beach — its first store outside Texas.
Buc-ee's announced that the Daytona Beach location will be built on a 32-acre site on the north side of LPGA Boulevard, just east of Interstate 95.
Founded in 1982, Buc-ee’s currently operates 32 locations.
