A man with a pre-existing heart condition died after riding Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disney's Magic Kingdom.

The case was among the ride-related illnesses and injuries reported to the state by theme parks in the past few months. 

The parks self-report any health-related cases to the state so they do not have to face government inspections.

The report says a 54-year-old man with a pre-existing condition collapsed while riding the roller coaster on Feb. 9 He died at a hospital.

It's the second time in six months someone has died on a Walt Disney World ride. Last September, a 68-year-old man with a pre-existing heart condition became ill while riding Star Tours and died.

The state releases quarterly reports from the theme parks on injuries and occasionally fatalities. Many of the cases normally involve dizziness or motion sickness, though sometimes there are fractures when people fall, or neck or back pain. Several of the cases involve people with pre-existing conditions.
