A missing 5-year-old Marion County girl has been found safe in Missouri.

  • Alexandria Green, 5, was missing out of Dunnellon in Marion County
  • She was found safe at a hotel in Missouri with parents
  • Father arrested for interference with child custody

Alexandria Alliclaire Green was last seen in the 10000 block of Southwest 186th Avenue in Dunnellon on Saturday.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office says Green was found at the Harbor Inn and Suites in Hermann, Missouri. She was found with her father, Alan Green, 55, and her mother, Mechealine Mazakis, 47.

Alexandria Green was in the custody of her grandparents. The sheriff's office said her father was having a court-allowed unsupervised visit with her on Saturday that was only supposed to last 1-2 hours. But then the grandparents never heard from the Greens. At the same time, Mazakis went missing from her Silver Springs Shores home and did not show up for work.

The sheriff's office says Mazakis is only supposed to have supervised visits with her daughter.

The sheriff's office issued an Amber Alert because Alan Green has a history of mental illness, and both parents had a history of erratic and absent behavior.

Alan Green was arrested for intereference with child custody. No charges are currently being filed against Mazakis.

Alexandria will be brought back to Florida and placed in DCF custody. Her grandparents have also been notified.
