Fallen trees knocked down by strong storms displaced five families in three separate locations in Ocala on Thursday night, officials said.

Between 7:30 and 10 p.m., Ocala Fire Rescue responded to more than 20 emergency calls, they said. Most were for downed power lines and trees.

At about 7:36 p.m., Fire Rescue responded to a report of a large tree that had fallen on two mobile homes on the 4000 block of NW Blitchton Road, they said. Three families there were displaced.

Less than an hour later, firefighters responded to another fallen tree on the 1300 block of NE 12th Avenue. A tree that fell on two adjacent homes displaced at least one family.

At 9:21 p.m., dispatchers got a call about tree damage on the 1400 block of NW 24th Avenue, where a roof incurred moderate damage. One family was displaced.

No injuries were reported, Ocala officials said.
