Cuyler's vehicle then struck a third vehicle that was stopped at the intersection, according to investigators. Brittany Chmilarski, 29, and Denise Allen, 57, were killed.

Cuyler was seriously injured and died at Ocala Regional Medical Center.

Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods told the Ocala Star-Banner that his deputies who initiated the pursuit were not to blame for the fatal collision. He told the newspaper that the deputies followed policy "to a T."
