After being closed for more than a week, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground reopened Wednesday.

The closure came as Florida braced for the impact of Hurricane Irma. The storm caused downed trees and other damage at the resort.

Disney posted a notice on the resort’s website saying that the property was closed “as we cleanup the property following the storm.”

Special events and activities, including Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue, were canceled during the closure.

Fort Wilderness, located in the Magic Kingdom resort area, includes hundreds of cabins and campsites.
