The Ocala Police Department is looking for people who witnessed an accident and a shooting on Monday afternoon.

At around 3:15 p.m., either a confrontation or argument broke out between two vehicles at the Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and NW 10th Street as a white Chevrolet Tahoe started to chase a blue Dodge Durango, according to police in a press release.
The Durango struck another vehicle, a dark blue Toyota Corolla, at NW 35th Street and the Durango overturned and rolled onto NW 16th Avenue, stated police.
"Witnesses observed the Tahoe driving in circles around the overturned Durango as an unknown number of occupants exited the vehicle," police stated.
The Durango's driver ran from the accident and a friend drove him to a hospital, police stated, adding that authorities did interview the driver.
However, the Tahoe's driver declined to be interviewed at the scene, according to police.
Police stated that it has accounts and evidence of shots being fired between the Tahoe and Durango, but the shooting location is unknown.
Police did not say if anyone was injured in the accident and officials have not yet returned a phone call from Spectrum News 13 regarding the incident.
