An Osceola County teacher has been officially charged with child abuse after allegedly abusing a 5-year-old autistic student.

Last week, News 13 reported that Pranee Andrus was accused of pushing, dragging, and even threatening the child.

Tuesday, Osceola County deputies said Andrus turned herself in at the Osceola County Jail.

Andrus has worked for the Osceola School District since 1996.

The state attorney's office issued a warrant for her arrest Tuesday.

Her bond was set at $1,000.
