Anne Imanuel, Web Anchor
Anne Imanuel is your connection to everything that’s happening online as Bay News 9’s Web Anchor/Reporter. You can catch her reports every weeknight.
Anne’s career has taken her all over the Sunshine State. She comes to the Bay area from the state capital, where she was the evening anchor at WTXL. There, she also conducted interviews for a weekly political segment.
Prior to that Anne was a reporter at WBBH in her hometown, Fort Myers. She also worked in Gainesville at WCJB as the weekend anchor and as a weekday reporter.
Anne got her start in TV as an anchor for WUFT-TV, the college-run PBS affiliate at the University of Florida. Anne graduated from UF Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Telecommunications. Active in the university community, she was inducted into the UF Hall of Fame and was even crowned as the 2005 University of Florida Homecoming Queen. She enjoys heading back to Gainesville to cheer on the Gators during football season!
Anne’s work has been recognized with a number of first place awards from the Associated Press and the Society of Professional Journalists. She even picked up a first place AP award for breaking news video that she shot. You may remember, "Don’t tase me bro!" That was Anne behind the camera as the ordeal unfolded.
In her free time, Anne enjoys quality time with her best friend … a rescue dog named Reagan. She also volunteers with the American Cancer Society and enjoys helping charitable causes any way she can. And now that she’s back on the coast, on the weekends you’ll likely find Anne on any of the area’s gorgeous beaches!
