Ashley Jeffery, Video Journalist
Ashley Jeffery is a Hillsborough County video journalist for Bay News 9.
Before moving to Florida, Ashley worked as a video journalist for WRDW-TV 12 in Augusta, Georgia.
Ashley won an AP Award in 2010. Ashley has also been recognized by the Georgia Association of Broadcasters for her work. She is proud to have interviewed a majority of the presidential candidates in the 2008 election for the “Ready to Vote” campaign.
Ashley is a native of Aiken County, South Carolina. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and a Minor in Political Science.
While at USC, Ashley produced, reported, anchored and edited the daily 30-minute newscast, “Carolina News,” the campus television news show. Ashley interned with Gamecock Athletics at the University of South Carolina and South Carolina Educational Television.
She worked on production for the “Steve Spurrier Show” and the “Ray Tanner Show,” and she hosted the weekly show, “Gamecock Sports Update,” for the athletics department.
Ashley enjoys reading, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. She is looking forward to exploring all of the fun sites and especially the beautiful beaches that Florida has to offer.
