Chris Hopper, Video Journalist
Chris Hopper joined Bay News 9 as a video journalist for Pinellas County.
He came to Bay News 9 from WANE NewsChannel 15, the CBS affiliate in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Chris loves being right in the middle of the big story. He has had the opportunity to cover some major events during his career including visits by President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton and a prominent murder trial that garnered national attention.
He has been honored with several awards for his news coverage.
Chris graduated from Indiana University. While there he worked for IU Student Television and that’s where he fell in love with television news.
In his spare time, Chris loves spending time with his wife and his dog. He is also a huge sports fan, and he continues to follow his teams although he’s far away.
