Dalia Dangerfield, Reporter
Bay News 9 reporter Dalia Dangerfield is a general assignment reporter based in the news channel's Pinellas County newsroom.
A reporter who loves to develop and chase down stories, Dalia broke stories on a non-profit organization's mismanagement of funds and policing problems at a local skate park while a reporter and fill-in anchor for WISE-TV in Ft. Wayne, IN. Prior to that, Dalia was a reporter/videographer at WLFI-TV in Lafayette, Ind., and a producer and weekend feature reporter at WJAR-TV in Providence, R.I.
While at WJAR, Dalia produced that station's weekly political show. Her experience in the field also includes print journalism -- reporting on housing, business and social service issues for the Chicago Defender.
Dalia earned a Master of Science degree in journalism from the prestigious Columbia University in New York City. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism and a Bachelor of Science in international relations from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
Dalia is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and a mentor in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program.
